Villa Project – Impluvium 01

Foto
Disegni

This single-family house made as a prototype for the Museum of Modern Art in Abadan, Iran, has a central theme focused around the relationship between the ground (rooting oneself, rising up), the wind (caressing, entering), shadow (heat, coolness) and Secrets (private life/public life).
Ground.
Wind.
Shadow.
Secret.
These words, which are all connected to sentimental and sensorial perception, translate into physical material
(ie. cement, canvas, silk), leaving every space to decoration, both private and public; leaving space for the relationship between opacity and clarity, between hiding in the shadow
of an overturned pyramid and meeting in the street in the same pyramid’s shade.
